Meeting: 15 April 2016

20160415_185357
Laura explains her 3D creation from 2D work! Programming codes are displayed in a chained fashion. Most interesting is the display rotates! Great demonstration! AWESOME!

20160415_185413
Lucy organizes her beads to begin projects!

20160415_192924

Listening to Laura’s presentation…

20160415_190703
Chris Stone explains how this 3D printed submarine will be part of the school’s underwater ROV rescue challenge. The student will use their class-built ROV to retrieve (rescue) this submarine model from the bottom of a deep pool.
20160415_185800
Watching Rick Bonari’s demonstration about his programmable robot!
20160415_185403
Listening to Laura’s demonstration…
20160415_185908
Doyle’s Remote Operational Vehicle (ROV) simulator. It allows a programmer to code for all the motors, controllers, lights, relay, and communications, then test the results in real-time! This prototype uses the PS2 wireless controller which communicates with an Arduino UNO. The Arduino then sends Serial data using RS485 protocol over 4,000 feet to the ROV’s on-board Arduino for motor/thruster control. This code is available for free to anyone interested!

20160415_185841
Future robotics engineers building projects that WORK!!

20160415_185834
Fun…or WHAT!??
