Cutting Cake Fondant with Homemade Water-Jet!
This home-built water jet cutter, made for cake decorating, was originally proved using only pressure from the faucet. Then a pressure washer pump was used to run the machine, but it was very noisy and somewhat cumbersome.
After thinking about the original experiments, I went back to using only household pressure feed to the nozzle. The video of one recent trial shows the machine cutting cake fondant.
While it cuts fondant effectively, I still have to overcome the effect of water overspray since the result is gooey fondant.
Crisco on the top surface helps, but I don’t think that is the answer. Perhaps I can get the machine to cut modeling chocolate using only household pressure.
Any suggestions are encouraged.
